Intro - Meet your Team Week
Meet everyone on your team and introduce them to the YOU of right now. What are the BIG questions you are asking yourself right now?
Let’s explore: Adulting, Love, Greif & Identity
This week we took time to dive into four topics that have been coming up regularity in our meetings with each team. Giving space and time to have free-flowing conversations about these topics we don’t often talk about.
Change
We took a look at change and how it occurs in your life. We looked at it through the lens of Inbound, Outbound, Incremental & Transformative change.
Solo Meeting: Your relationships
Relationships can be the things that bring us the most joy and can be the things that ask us to grow. Get a chance to talk about who is important in your life right now.
Solo Meeting: Change Check In
This will be your team’s first “solo” week, AKA week without Mackenzie or Florence. Take a deeper look at a change in your life with the help of your team.
Communication & Clearings
Solo Meeting: Checking In
April 1st - 4th. This is your last solo (unfacilitated) team meeting of the semester. Your last time to check in about what matters with this group.
What is next?
April 15th - 18th
Team Completion Week
April 29th - May 2nd
Who needs New Year’s resolutions when you have REAL Teams?
What’s a REAL Team anyway?
A Team is a committed group of students who support each other throughout the term on what every goals matters to them most, whether that be social, personal or academic.
Your Team will be a place where you have the opportunity to share & ask for feedback from other Luminaries when encountering & navigating challenges.
This is a space for you to just be you, in an atmosphere of empathy, trust, reliability, honesty, & connection.
Some of your Team meetings are self-run & some are hosted by Mack or Flo.
Lastly, Teams are fun, this is a no-stress, let your worries be free kinda time.
Cohort 2019 Student
“Being on a REAL team this semester might have saved me from feeling burnt out. I think it really provided me with a place to just kind of ground myself, let everything go, and just be present with these people who are not judgmental of what I'll be saying - being people who will ask questions, people who will care, people that will just be present in a way that you don't really get any more from people in other settings.”
Cohort 2021 Student
“A lot of times we don't know what or how people think about you, but in these Teams, people are sharing how they feel about you. And I feel that's really valuable because they actually do care about you. I had not met anyone in person before, and a lot of times it was the first time I was talking to them. But I felt really comfortable sharing all my successes and challenges with them. I knew they were very supportive, which was really great. I really loved it, and I hope to do it more often in the future.”

“I can say with 10000000% certainty I was better off with having REAL Team sessions this semester! They allowed me to critically think about so many aspects of my life and I opened up to new ways of thinking when facing a problem or when feeling emotionally reactive.”
